A Popsicle is one of the best ways to cool down on a hot day. When we were little, mom used to pour some juice into the Popsicle molds and freeze it. It was so much fun to have a new Popsicle every single time, new color, new flavor.So I was thinking, why not add that extra healthy touch into it and make it both fun and a bit more healthy?
There are a few options when it comes to upgrading a Popsicle:
1. Use fresh fruit juice.
2. Use yogurt and fresh fruits. Blend together and pour the smoothie into the molds – you’ll get a frozen fruit fudge 🙂
3. Add fresh cut fruits into the Popsicle mix.
I added some oranges into the orange- raspberry juice I used to make the Popsicles this past weekend. The kids were thrilled. I also made a smoothie with blueberries and goat yogurt and froze it in jewel-Popsicle molds. What a success.
